Dr. Megan Rabelo
DVMDr. Megan Rabelo is excited to be a part of the team at South Kendall Animal Hospital! Her journey to becoming a veterinarian began in 2021 at Florida International University where she graduated with her bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. During her time in college, she worked part-time as a vet tech for three years and volunteered at Zoo Miami. She worked with the hospital’s zookeepers and vets focusing on animal husbandry and preventative care for their diverse population of animals. She then graduated from the University of Florida with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree and a certificate in Aquatic Animal Medicine in 2025. She had the privilege of working with a wide range of species, from sea turtles to big cats, through many externship opportunities provided by UF. Her areas of professional interest include exotic medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, preventative care, and ultrasonography.
Dr. Rabelo is driven by her lifetime passion for animals, conservation, and facilitating the human-animal bond. She is dedicated to providing the best possible care for your beloved pets as if they were her own and educating owners to make vet visits a much less stressful experience for everyone involved!
She was born and raised in Miami, FL where she grew up surrounded by dogs and cats. At home she has a mischievous Tabby cat named Louis and a rambunctious Yorkie named Milo. When she’s not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, and exploring the city for new restaurants as she is a big foodie!
