Chris Dacosta


Chris has been working in veterinary medicine for over four years after making a career change from the human health field.  Possessing a strong desire to work in the profession along with an aptitude to learn and develop his skills, Chris advanced from a technician assistant to Senior Veterinary Technician.  Responsibilities in surgery and dentistry and for hospitalized patients have led Chris to be a leader in surgical assisting, anesthesia monitoring and patient care.  He also provides ongoing support with other major responsibilities of his position; training new technician assistants and encouraging their professional growth and overseeing the facilities maintenance requirements. Chris was born in Jamaica and moved with his family to Florida as a young boy.  When away from work he enjoys music and fishing.  His “best friend” is adorable, yet handsome, rambunctious, Milo the yorkie.
